     The second New Moon of springtime follows the last New Moon which took place about  four weeks previously. That last lunation was The Great American Solar Eclipse which attracted such a hullabaloo when its shadow crossed much of the USA. Of course chaotic  events since that fateful April 8, 2024 New Moon have certainly proven the validity of astrology. However now the  initial celestial power tide is fading a bit as this next New Moon ushers in a new cycle. It occurs at 18 degrees 2 minutes Taurus. The time is 11:21 pm EDT, late on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. Everything is all about security. The pattern brings in an exceptionally earthy influence because  the Sun, Moon, Venus, Uranus and Jupiter all cluster together from 10 to 25 degrees in the fixed earth sign of Taurus; the Bull. This is all within orb of several notorious fixed stars, including Menkar, Capulus and Algol. Rashness and facing down a monster are some of the ancient keynotes linked to these stars. The combined cosmic influences at this New Moon suggest that we must expect extraordinary times. The Sabian Symbol for the New Moon’s degree  is “A New Continent Rises Out Of The Ocean”. In Degrees of the Zodiac Symbolized the degree’s interpretation reads “A woman in a field surrounded by violet colored flowers.” The first image suggests new situations arising, while the second image accents lower energy and delicate luxury. Both influences will be at operative. Meditating with crystals, colors and music can attract the softer side of this event chart’s promise. Reveling in natural beauty can be healing. Appreciate the majesty of the Earth in the great outdoors. Plan a picnic, try gardening, hiking or other activities which can be enjoyed when out in nature. Financial matters can be very much at the forefront too. Plan your budget while keeping  current monetary trends in mind. Tangible manifestation is likely. So write a wish list during the 8 hours following 11:21 pm EDT. Watch how your wish list comes true during the next two weeks. Neptune and Saturn in Pisces suggest concern for those in need. Mars, the Moon’s node, Chiron and Mercury are all in Aries bringing surprises, and new twists, especially regarding conflicts. Retrograde Pluto in Aquarius indicates repeating cycles and a shift regarding the waves of protestors and the general welfare of the masses of people. Extreme weather and seismic activity are possible during the month ahead.  Some psychics and astrologers are predicting a rise or fall in political power, even the fall of a world leader.      Winter’s final New Moon at 5:00 am EDT on Sunday, March 10, 2024 takes place during the dark morning hours just after  Daylight Savings Time begins. This lunation is in the sign of Pisces at 20 degrees 16’. This is in the Neptune -Pluto ruled decanate of the  sign of The Fish. Secrets and deep undercurrents are flowing. All is not quickly revealed or understood. The Sun and Moon are in an applying conjunction Neptune,  with a wide orb separating  conjunction with Saturn. The placements are all in Pisces. Mercury is on the cusp at 0 degrees of Aries and makes an out of sign conjunction with the late degree Pisces placements. The event chart shows that the planets are in a tight bundle formation. This is a very intense and focused time, watch out for the “tempest in a tea cup” syndrome. Trivialities can  be over stated. Maintain perspective and seek a balance. Intuition and imagination are strong, seek to express feelings constructively. There can be genuine intuitive flashes. Dreams can be significant. Unusual events are likely to occur around the waterfront. Recently a very rare species of whale was spotted off the Florida coast. There was also a report of a sighting of a single puffin, an arctic bird never seen in this part of the world, being rescued. Water elementals such as mermaids, selkies and kelpies can be in evidence. In “Degrees of the Zodiac Symbolized” this zodiacal degree is interpreted as “A man walking in the darkness holding an old-fashioned lantern”. The message is “Finding a way out of difficulty, having faith in the truths taught by forefathers, divine instincts offer guidance”.

     This is a good time to focus on whatever is most important. Consolidate. Don’t scatter energy, resources or do too much multi- tasking. Seek information, exchange ideas. The mood is sincere and feelings are sensitive. Write a wish list during the 8 hours after the New Moon and watch a dream materialize as the Moon waxes and grows toward the Full phase. The next Full Moon will be in Libra on March 25. That Full Moon marks the start of a really significant two week long eclipse season.
